Where Oh Where is Our Summer

The garden was amazing! The flowers were pumping and bunches were being shared in copious numbers.  Sunflowers, Dahlias, Snapdragons, Gladioli, Canterbury Bells and so many others...

Out of the blue on 26 December, we were hit with a massive storm with wild wind and torrential rain.  Power surged off and on and then we were without power for 5 hours.  The flowers suffered horribly and I now have very little to work with.

It is still raining nearly 10 days later.  Everything is a bit demoralising but if I want my dream to come to fruition, I will just have to keep my head up and keep working through whatever is thrown at me.  

The water tanks are now overflowing and I look forward to a flush of flowers when the sun appears again.
