About us.

Kia ora,

The Potion Room is based in the heart of Nuhaka.  Our flowers, foliage and products are all naturally grown/made, with a lot of aroha, time and hard mahi. We create soaps, sprays, lotions, balms/ potions and oils to heal and nurture our customers.  We are very proud to grow a vast array of seasonal flowers and create affordable bunches in a variety of styles and sizes.

The Potion Room is situated at Mission House, a historic villa, built in about 1912, that was once a Presbyterian Mission and  cottage hospital. In 1971, Keith and Margaret Hayward moved to the Mission House and turned a ramshackle mess into a happy and loving family home.  A great place for children to play on the land with fairies and flowers.

Surrounded by ever expanding cottage style rambling gardens, that provide ingredients for The Potion Room, there are always flowers aplenty for picking and drying. We love creating fresh, seasonal bunches to create health and happiness and happily deliver these around the Nuhaka village and to Mahia for a small cost.

Kelly Doyle (nee Hayward) grew up in the Mission House and now has the responsibility with her husband Conan, of nurturing Mission House and The Potion Room for future generations.

Naturally

Thank you for supporting The Potion Room.
